- Nebraska nurse aide competency evaluation is administered through the Nebraska Health Care Learning Center (NHCLC) under the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). It is not Credentia NNAAP, not Prometric, and not Headmaster.
- Complete a state-approved nurse aide course (commonly at least 75 clock hours, plus one hour of Nebraska-specific abuse/neglect/misappropriation training), then register for written and clinical testing through NHCLC.
- Written/oral exam (per DHHS Nurse Aide page; confirm live wording): typically 50 multiple-choice questions. Passing is 70% or greater.
