This short guide helps Idaho candidates use MedCertPrep for the Prometric written (or oral) exam without treating our bank as an Idaho-labeled clone. How does the Idaho written exam differ from NNAAP?
Idaho uses Prometric for the written exam only. Many Credentia states use the 2024 NNAAP written outline. MedCertPrep's national CNA bank is organized around NNAAP-style domains.

Suggested weekly split when Idaho is your target: spend the largest blocks on Physical Care (covers Safety + Function + Basic Nursing Care + specialized physical themes), then protect Role, then shorter Psychosocial sets for specialized-care mental health stems.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I ignore MedCertPrep because Idaho is not NNAAP?
No. Use it for theme practice, and use the CIB for Idaho weights and exact topic lists. Do not skip the official outline.
Is California practice advice wrong for Idaho?
California advice that cites NNAAP percentages is not Idaho-accurate. Idaho also splits Manual Skills (training program) from the Prometric written exam. Use Idaho CNA and this map when Idaho is your exam path.
Can I take the written exam before Manual Skills?
No. Route 1 requires a passed Manual Skills evaluation within six months of training, and you bring proof on written-test day. The written exam itself must be completed within 12 months of training. Confirm live route rules in the CIB.
